The Laughing Forest will restore your energy. The tranquility of the resort combined with the close proximity of the sea lends itself to quiet time and long walks on the beach. The 6 acre property on which the Laughing Forest exists is home to impete buck, birds, monkeys, mongoose and other wildlife. A 10m path across the rail line and admiralty reserve links the property to the beach sand. The Elysium beach is very private and clean.
Accommodation consists of 5 Family Cabins (4 x 5 Sleepers & 1 x 4 Sleeper), plus 5 x Double Rooms with Bathrooms en-suite and 2 x Single Rooms with bathrooms en-suite. All Family cabins are fully airconditioned, with main bedroom, lounge/2nd Bedroom, fully equipped kitchen with microwave, gas plate, fridge/freezer, crockery, cutlery etc, sundeck with table, chairs and braai facilities. 4 x Double and 2 x single rooms share a fully equipped kitchen, with undercover deck and braai facilities. Fans are supplied in each room. 1 x Double Room has its own private kitchen and is also fully airconditioned.
The Laughing Forest is also a Wedding Venue. Wedding options are numerous, all depending on the weather, (beach / grassed terrace overlooking the sea, etc). Our Reception Hall can cater for up to 200 people and your guests can book into the cabins and either make it into a weekend getaway, or just for the night so they can party and dance the night away and not worry about driving home. When we have a wedding function, we close the resort for the wedding guests.
We also cater for conferences and family gatherings.
