A quote from the Blue Flag Organisation Website:
“Ramsgate beach is a one-of-a-kind experience. It is surrounded by natural vegetation that has been transformed into a park-like area. The beach is wide, sandy and based at the end of an estuary. Pedal boats and recreational activities are on offer in the estuary area which is closed to swimming. Restaurants are located in the adjacent area. Lifeguards are on duty throughout the year as the water is warm and the sub-tropical climate allows for swimming at Ramsgate throughout the year. There is plenty of interpretive signage, and information about local environmental issues. A whale-watching site has been developed opposite the beach.”
